My name is Greg Donaldson, and I work as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in Brighton and online.
I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust, where I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and later an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy. I also hold a Diploma in Transpersonal & Integrative Clinical Supervision.
Over the years, I’ve supported people from many walks of life through challenges both immediate and profound. Some come to therapy in moments of crisis, others out of curiosity or a wish to deepen their self-understanding. There is no “right reason” or “right time” to begin — therapy is simply a space where you don’t have to face things alone.
My Approach
I believe therapy is about meeting you where you are. Sometimes that means addressing pressing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. At other times it’s about exploring deeper questions of meaning, purpose, or spiritual growth.
Much of my work involves helping people uncover parts of themselves they may have long kept hidden or exiled. When these parts are finally welcomed into awareness, they often bring a renewed sense of purpose, vitality, and connection.
What Inspires My Work
One of the guiding truths of my practice comes from M. Scott Peck:
“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult – once we truly understand and accept it – then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”
Therapy is not about removing the difficulties of life, but about changing our relationship to them — so that what once felt unbearable can be lived with more acceptance, freedom, and even growth.
